Rio is a Suffolk/QH g. He is handsome, lovely conformation, striking head with a calm and willing temperament! Rio is quiet, reliable and a pleasure to take out on the trail ride whether alone or in company. He confidently crosses creeks, natural obstacles and has hunted lightly the last season and is currently hunting this season with Blue Ridge and Piedmont. Rio has proven himself a reliable, steady hunting partner for riders of every level, providing an enjoyable experience in the field. In his previous home he proved to be the ultimate family horse. He was happily allowing the grandchildren to lead him to the fences or hop on him in just a halter and lead rope if necessary. He is also steady and trustworthy enough for the dad or husband to enjoy a lovely ride. Rio offers three smooth comfortable gaits and has been thoughtfully introduced to both show jumps and cross country as well. He has a solid foundation to excel in any direction you choose.
