Lightning is a Buckskin Paint QH X. Lt. has been hunting with ODH since he was 4yrs. old, has done everything from hill toppers to 1st flight and been hunt staff horse on occasion. He competed in several North American Jr. Foxhunting Competitions and placed 3rd in his 1st finals at Old Whitewood in '05, Lt. was a 3 x winner of the Merry Oaks Olympics which includes x-co., jousting and a very long pony swim. He has been used in USPC Pony Club in everything from camps, to C-3 level testing, to D-2 eventing rallies. Lt's. greatest USPC Pony Club event is Tetrathlon. At the Sr. Level Tethrathlon consists of a tough show jumping test of about 13 elements that include a gate, opened mounted and slip rail where the rider dismounts and walks the horse over a rail then remounts and finishes the course which is a Maximumin height of 3'7" and includes doubles and triples. At the '06 USPC Championships Lt. was used by the Canadian International Tetrathlon Team. He has traveled to Lexington Ky. to several USPC Championships and has been shared by several pony clubbers at these events. He has done local summer schooling shows at Rubicon & Sandy Hook. Most recently he was competed at the Va. Reg. Tetrathlon and ridden by 2 Sr. level riders and won both Sr. Boys & Girls jumping Div. in Nov. '09, since then weather permitting he has been foxhunting with ODH.
